Belgium national team goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois exclusively commented for Dynamo.kiev.ua on the outcome of the first match of the Nations League playoff round against the Ukrainian national team.

— In the first half, we controlled the game, we managed to score a goal. We also had two good chances at the beginning of the match. Then Ukraine managed to create chances, but I believe we played better in the first half, and the opponent in the second.
After our mistake, Ukraine was able to equalize the score. That goal gave them confidence, and they managed to win in the end. We, instead of remaining calm and playing further, made more mistakes, and Ukraine scored the second and third goals.
I think we need to analyze everything calmly and try to win in the second game. I hope we can secure a victory at home. The Ukrainian national team is a strong team, but I believe we can put in maximum effort and win the second match.
— In today's game, two goalkeepers from Madrid's "Real" took part — you and Andriy Lunin. What do you think about his performance? Perhaps you spoke after the match?
— Yes, we talked. Andriy had a great match, played calmly, making several wonderful saves. He is a great goalkeeper, but I hope we can score more on Sunday. I repeat, Andriy is a wonderful person and an excellent goalkeeper.
