The Italian Football Federation commented on the knee injury of defender Riccardo Calafiori in the Nations League match against Germany (1:2).
Riccardo Calafiori, Getty Images“Riccardo Calafiori, who underwent an examination this morning after sustaining a left knee injury during yesterday’s match against Germany, will be unavailable for the return leg on Sunday and will return to his club,” the statement said.
It is worth noting that Calafiori risks missing the first quarter-final match of the Champions League against Real Madrid, scheduled for April 8.
