The head coach of “Chornomorets” Olexandr Babich commented on the situation regarding the possible dismissal from his position as the coach of the Odesa team.
“The day before yesterday, I spoke with one of the leaders of ‘Chornomorets’ — Olexandr Granovsky. He honestly warned me that, given the current situation, the club is negotiating with candidates for the head coach position.
I also had a conversation with Olexandr Kuchery, who is the main contender for this position. If that happens, I will have no personal grievances against him, I wish him to leave the team in the UPL. This is fundamentally important to me; it is a matter to which my assistants and I have dedicated ourselves with full responsibility.
I believe that ‘Chornomorets’ has a chance of salvation, despite the difficult schedule. There are many matches ahead with direct competitors: we need to win these matches,” said Babich in a comment to “TaToTake”.
Additionally, the source reports that Kuchery has left Uzhhorod and is expected to arrive in Odesa after lunch. Apparently, there is a verbal agreement between the specialist and the club's management regarding the start of cooperation, but the documents have not been signed.
