The New Zealand national team has secured its participation in the final stage of the 2026 World Cup.

In the final of the Oceania qualifying cycle, which took place today, New Zealand defeated New Caledonia with a score of 3:0, becoming the second participant of the upcoming World Cup.
It should be added that this will be the third World Cup in the history of New Zealand. The team last participated in the world championship in 2010, and in World Cup 2026, the New Zealanders managed to qualify thanks to the expansion of the number of tournament participants and a direct quota that Oceania received.
New Zealand is the second national team to secure a spot in World Cup 2026. Japan had previously achieved this.
Let us remind you that the 2026 World Cup will take place from June 11 to July 19 in the USA, Canada, and Mexico.
