The Ukrainian U-16 youth team (players no older than 2009) today completed their performance at the Four Nations Tournament, hosted by Romania.

In the first match, Oleg Holodyuk's team lost to Poland (0:1), in the second, they defeated the hosts of the tournament (4:2), and today they faced Montenegro.
The first half started with a great attack from the Ukrainians. In the 5th minute, Artem Ghaponenko received a pass right in front of the opponent's goal but managed to shoot over the crossbar from two meters. However, six minutes later, he corrected himself and scored with a precise shot from a left flank cross — 1:0.
But in the 29th minute, a gross error in a back pass led to a one-on-one situation with our goalkeeper Nikolo Vukoje. The Montenegrin did not miss — 1:1.
The “blue-yellows” took the lead again in the 67th minute. Nazarii Rudze won the ball and passed it to Artem Rybak, who skillfully dealt with the Montenegrin goalkeeper. Kirill Sarychev put the final point in the match, heading the ball under the crossbar after a cross in the 86th minute.
Thus, 3:1 — a victory for the Ukrainian U-16 team. Our boys scored six points and took second place in the Four Nations Tournament, losing to the Poles on additional indicators.
