The Italian league will offer greater transparency regarding video reviews, including limited announcements at the stadium about referee conversations with the VAR room.

On Monday, the governing body of Serie A announced that it will test the system in matches of the Coppa Italia, limiting the explanation of decisions made by the referee after reviewing the situation on the side monitor. This system will be used for the first time in Italian football, although it has already been implemented in England and Germany.
Serie A's CEO Luigi De Siervo stated that the goal was "to make the measures taken more transparent and understandable for players, team managers, and all stakeholders, including the audience in the stands and viewers at home."
Announcements at stadiums in football were introduced during the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.
