Two amateur football clubs in the Netherlands, "Brandewuur" and "De Braak", decided to organize an unusual friendly match: it will take place without referees to encourage players to respect both the rules of the game and the authority of referees.

Given the rise in the number of incidents related to officiating in the city, both clubs decided to address their behavioral issues themselves and demonstrate that self-discipline on the field is a viable option.
The match will take place today.
According to the president of "Brandewuur", for the match to go smoothly, both clubs must be well prepared, and the players must thoroughly know the rules of the game.
"Most of the disturbances in the stands or on the field are caused by a lack of complete knowledge of the rules of the game. We hope this special match will make people realize their behavior and encourage them to behave correctly. But I understand that we won't solve the problem in just one match," he told the Dutch publication NOS.
