“Dynamo” easily took control of the initiative from the first minutes of the game, forcing “Rukh” to defend on their half of the field with the entire team. Although initially, the long shots from Dubinchak and Yarmolenko lacked accuracy, Vanat played flawlessly in the 11th minute. Receiving a perfect pass from Buyalsky while running into the opponent's penalty area, the forward of the "white and blue" took a moment and shot accurately into the near corner of Ledviy — 0:1.
Having taken the lead, the Kyiv team only increased their speed, which, it seemed, the hosts were simply unprepared for. The team coached by Shovkovskyi created a few more good moments to score two or three goals in the first half due to quick ball transfers. Ponomarev's team managed to hold out until the second goal, scored in the 30th minute, when another great combination from “Dynamo” was completed with a precise shot by Buyalsky — 0:2.
It should be noted that before the end of the first half, the guests had another good chance to score a third goal, but this time Ledviy saved “Rukh” from Vanat's shot. This concluded all the interesting events of the first half of the match.
Photo — Alexander PopovAfter the break, the hosts noticeably livened up in attack, seriously “testing” Neshcheret for the first time in the 49th minute, but the “Dynamo” goalkeeper played confidently. And just a few minutes later, the "white and blue" goalkeeper completely neutralized a super chance for Pidhursky, who headed the ball toward the crossbar after a corner kick.
The guests, understanding that only one accurate shot from “Rukh” could seriously change the situation on the field, immediately responded with their own attack, but Yarmolenko's shot was blocked by Ledviy. Nevertheless, the second half the "black and yellow" can undoubtedly take into account — the "Dynamo" players were already struggling not only to create moments but also to defend. However, despite “Rukh's” moments, the Kyiv team managed to bring the match to a deserved and very important victory!
Let’s remind that “Dynamo” will play their next match also against “Rukh,” but already in the quarter-finals of the Cup of Ukraine. The teams will meet again at “Arena Lviv” on Wednesday, April 2. Match kickoff — at 18:00.
