Former teammate of Ruben Amorim, Roderik Miranda, reminisced about the playing career of the current Manchester United coach.
Ruben Amorim, Getty Images“I never thought he would become a coach! Not because of his football abilities or intelligence, but because he was a clown in the dressing room. He had a cheerful character and always did something to make people laugh.
When I heard that he started working as a coach, I was a bit surprised and wondered how the guy I played with could become so serious! But he was a very smart player. He could play in many different positions. Maybe he became a brilliant coach because he understands the game so well,” quotes Miranda by Flashscore.
Additionally, Amorim and Miranda played together at Benfica from 2008 to 2012. Today, Miranda plays for the Australian Melbourne Victory.
