Today the world was gifted several notable individuals who closely connected their lives with football:
Oleksiy Mikhailychenko (1963) — former midfielder. A graduate of Kyiv’s «Dynamo», where he played for nine years under the guidance of Valeriy Lobanovskyi. He also played for the Italian «Sampdoria» and the Scottish «Rangers». He became the champion of the country in every club.
After finishing his career, he worked as an assistant coach at Kyiv’s «Dynamo». Later, he headed the «white-blues». Under Mikhailychenko's leadership, Kyiv won the Ukrainian championship twice. He led the youth and national teams of Ukraine. He also chaired the Committee of National Teams of UAF.
Sergio Ramos (1986) — Spanish defender. Previously played for «Sevilla», Real Madrid, PSG. With the Spain national team, he became the world and European champion. A three-time champion of Spain, winner of the Champions League. In summer 2005, he could have joined the Catalan «Barcelona», but chose «Real» instead.
Jan Koller (1973) — former Czech striker. Known for his tall stature (over two meters), he powerfully strikes the ball equally well with both his feet and head. The top scorer in the history of the Czech national team.
