After the victories of their main competitors in the championship race - «Oleksandriya» and «Shakhtar» - «Dynamo» had no other options but to defeat «Rukh» on their home turf.

The main architect of «Dynamo»'s victory was Vitaliy Buyalsky, who played his 350th match for his team in all official tournaments. He assisted Vladyslav Vanat and then capped off a cross from Andriy Yarmolenko.
