Former captain of “Ingulec” Oleksandr Kozak commented on the recent interview of Oleksandr Povorozniuk, who stated that he did not summon the former players of his team to the TCC, claiming they were supposedly wanted, and he asked them to register in order to make a reservation.
— Oleksandr, Povorozniuk stated that he did not report Shershny to the TCC, but told you to go and register at the military enlistment office because you were wanted. How can you comment on this?
— I watched his interview, and I can say that it was just 10 minutes of lies. It is hard for me to comment on this slander against the footballers who helped his team a lot. This person has absolutely nothing sacred.
No one of us was wanted. From the very beginning, we told Povorozniuk to help us with the reservation, and he didn’t lift a finger.
— Povorozniuk also said that “Ingulec” did not go to training camp in Turkey because you, Shershny, Kozyrenko, Melnychuk, and Petko were wanted?
— Complete nonsense. How can he even say such a thing? At that moment, we had already unilaterally terminated contracts with Ingulec. The guy is contradicting himself.
— So, he really ordered a TCC unit for Shershny?
— Of course. Shershny even has a voice recording that confirms that Hryhorovych is lying in his latest interview.
— Povorozniuk also said that you asked him for $10,000 as a gift for your wife, who supposedly betrayed you. Is this true?
— I don’t know what I did to him that he already dares to touch on the sacred—on family. This is total slander on his part. It never happened! I don’t know what one should take to come up with such a thing.
— So, you didn’t go to him to ask for money?
— Of course not. How do you imagine that? Do you think a footballer would go to the president if he has issues in his personal life and ask for money for a ring? This is just nonsense. He [Povorozniuk] had time, and he made up such stories about us.
— He said in this interview that he gave you 400,000 hryvnias and asked to return it when you left Ingulec.
— I don’t know why he said such a small amount, he could have thought of a larger sum. He lied constantly throughout this interview. I never took such money from him.
— Povorozniuk said that Shershny brought him 200,000 hryvnias and he signed a waiver for him.
— I don’t know, maybe they had some agreements and for 200,000 he let him go.
— When did you last speak with Povorozniuk?
— When we submitted the papers for contract termination and he understood that the club might have problems. He called us and said: “Come to me. I will either let you go or keep you in the team.” But we felt something was off and didn’t go. And a week later, the situation with Shershny occurred. I think there was a setup being prepared for us then.
— Do you mean that Povorozniuk wanted to “set” you up with the TCC?
— Exactly.
— How much does “Ingulec” still owe you, one month’s salary?
— No, Shershny was not paid for the last month, and we are owed for six months. We have already submitted documents to the UAF Dispute Resolution Chamber and are waiting for a verdict. If the decision is in our favor, there will also be compensation.
— What amount does “Ingulec” owe you for six months?
— I won’t reveal exact figures, but it’s over 300,000 hryvnias including compensation. We wanted to settle things normally with “Ingulec” and offered for them to pay us three salaries, and we would terminate the contracts, but no one agreed to that. He [Povorozniuk] thinks that the truth is on his side. For me, it is no longer about money, but about justice.
