Forward of Lviv’s Rukh Yurii Klimchuk summarized yesterday’s match of his team against Kyiv’s Dynamo (0:1) in the 1/4 final of the Ukrainian Cup.
Yurii Klimchuk“Honestly, it’s hard to explain why the team hasn’t been scoring in recent matches. We create clear chances, but we just have bad luck and the ball doesn’t go into the net. We definitely need to continue working on our finishing. But we should also note the Dynamo goalkeeper, who had a very good match and didn’t let us score.
We played better in the cup match against Dynamo than in the championship match. The conceded goal at the end of the first half was unnecessary. But even after that we had opportunities to equalize and generally showed a decent game.
It’s very nice when there are many fans in the stadium. It gives players strength and energy, and we want to play even better. The support from the spectators made us push forward. I am grateful to the fans for their support and want to thank the soldiers of the Armed Forces, as they defend us from the enemy and it is thanks to our defenders that the players can play and the spectators can watch football,” said Klimchuk.
