On Friday, April 4, the Russians committed another terrorist act. They struck Kryvyi Rih with a missile.
Collage for Channel 24The aggressor cynically attacked a residential area with a ballistic strike. The attack occurred near a playground, resulting in many deaths and injuries, including children.
Representatives of Ukrainian sports reacted to the atrocious crime of Russia. One of the first to emotionally comment on the strike was Olympic champion and world record holder in high jump Yaroslav Maguchikh, who called on the global community to pay attention to the criminal actions of the aggressor country on her Instagram page:
“Today Russia killed 14 people. Six of them are children. A direct and intentional strike on a playground. World, listen to Ukraine. We are shedding blood for peace – do not stand aside”.
The former number one tennis player in Ukraine and now a soldier, Sergiy Stakhovsky, also reacted to this terrorist act. He published several photos and videos, showing his audience the consequences of the strike, where it is clear that only civilians were affected:
“Russia killed 14 people in Kryvyi Rih today. The city is located 125 kilometers from the front line. 6 children were killed by Russia. How can this be justified? Tell me how? Killers. Does this look like a military base to you?”.
Many other athletes also showed the world this crime, including Viktor Tsygankov, Andriy Lunin, Ruslan Malinovskyi, Marta Kostyuk, and Andriy Demchuk.
It should be noted that rescue operations in Kryvyi Rih have already been completed. Unfortunately, the number of casualties has increased. There are now reports of 18 fatalities, including nine children, as well as more than 60 injured. About 20 multi-storey buildings and more than 30 cars have also been damaged.
