The renowned German defender Mats Hummels, who currently plays for Roma, has announced that he will retire from professional football at the end of this season.

It is worth noting that Hummels spent the majority of his career at Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund. The defender has been a German champion five times. In the national team of Germany, Hummels played 78 matches, becoming world champion in 2014.
