The famous midfielder of Bayern, Thomas Müller, officially stated that he has decided to leave the Munich club after the current season ends.

Even after so many years, regardless of how many minutes I play, I still have a lot of fun being on the field with the guys and fighting for titles together for our colors. I could easily imagine this role in the next year.
However, the club made a conscious decision not to sign a new contract with me for the next season. Even if this did not align with my personal wishes, it is important for the club to stick to its convictions. I respect this decision, which was not made lightly by the club.
Public upheavals in recent weeks and months have not suited me. However, here, in my opinion, it is the same as in my football game: it has not always been characterized by perfection, but rather by a positive, forward-looking approach to the next action. After a failed pass, it is important to regain the ball through the cohesion of the team. We achieved this through trustful discussions on this topic over the past few days.
I thank everyone who took part in my long journey at Bayern, I feel deep joy from having played for a club that I love for 25 incredibly intense years. Through so many wonderful moments together, I will forever be connected to Bayern.
Right now we are fully focused on our sporting goals this season. For me, it would be a dream to bring the championship trophy home and reach the long-awaited home Champions League final at the end of May. I will give everything for that.
Thank you for everything that has been and for everything that is yet to come. Always forward, Bayern,” Müller wrote on his Instagram page.
