Football commentator Roberto Morales, who currently serves in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, shared that he commented on some matches during his vacation.
Roberto Morales“When I was in the 41st separate rifle battalion, a request was sent to the commander through the chief of staff, who was interested in football. The commander was accommodating—and I was released. This was counted as part of my annual leave. It could not be considered a business trip, as the military unit has no goal to go and comment on football.
I will tell you one story. In 2023, a request came for me to be released to comment on the "Shakhtar" match in the Champions League. The resolution from the commander was: “Dynamo” Kyiv is the champion,” Morales said.
