An unpleasant incident overshadowed one of yesterday’s First League matches, in which “Epitsentr” faced YUKSA (4:3).
Alexander MelnikAt the beginning of the second half of this match, the central defender of the visiting team Alexander Melnik lost consciousness after a collision with an opponent during a challenge. After first aid was provided to the player, he was taken to the hospital.
An examination revealed a fracture-dislocation of the lower jaw in two places and a concussion for Melnik, the press service of YUKSA later reported. It is not excluded that the player may need surgery, and for now, he has returned to Kyiv with his team.
We add that Melnik is a graduate of Kyiv’s Dynamo, having played for the club’s youth team, and in 2019 moved to “Alexandria.” He has also played for “Minai” and “Veres.”
