Midfielder of the youth team Dynamo Danilo Ishchenko commented on the victorious home match against "Left Bank" (4:0), which was his first after an injury, and shared how he feels:
Danilo Ishchenko (photo: fcdynamo.com)— In general, I think we managed to execute the coach's game plan for the match. Perhaps in the second half there were some moments that could have been utilized better, but the most important thing is that we won, now we move on.
— The game was productive, so were you satisfied with the execution?
— Yes, I think four goals are quite enough. We are constantly working on our execution, of course, we could have scored more, but four goals were enough to win.
— Has the opponent changed significantly compared to the previous match in the first round?
— During the winter break, "Left Bank" strengthened a bit, the team changed somewhat and started playing better, but for us, it doesn’t matter — we prepare for every game, our task is to go onto the field and win.
— Was it easier from a moral standpoint to enter the second half with a score of 3:0 after the first?
— Yes, of course, it's easier. It's good that we managed to score three goals before the break — we did what we had to do. But we can’t relax, we need to score as many as possible, as long as there are moments for that.
— "Dynamo U-19" has not played at home for over a month, what emotions do you feel about returning to your home ground?
— It's very nice to play on my own field, in front of my own fans when they come to support us, it is very noticeable. It's definitely easier at home.
— This was your first game after the injury, can you tell us about your injury, recovery, and how you feel now?
— I suffered a very unpleasant injury during the winter training camp, I missed more than two months, I was treated, went through rehabilitation, and trained. Now I feel good, today the coaches gave me a chance to play, I thank them for their trust. I repeat, the most important thing is that we won.
— Do you still not have enough strength and physical condition for the entire match?
— That is the coach’s decision, probably, I am still not 100% ready, so I was allowed to play 70 minutes, I will gradually regain my form so that I can last for the whole match. I would like to play 90 minutes in the next match against Kryvbas, but we will see how it goes. I only know that it will be a tough match, as we will play on artificial turf, plus, air alerts often occur in Kryvy Rih. But despite this, we will go there for the victory and three points.
