Journalist Volodymyr Zverov explained why “Bukovina” cannot host “Dynamo” in the 1/2 finals of the Ukrainian Cup in “Chernivtsi”.
Volodymyr Zverov“You know, my heart wanted the semifinals to take place in Chernivtsi, because it’s a true celebration. And I am convinced that Kyiv’s “Dynamo” was ready to play in Chernivtsi or anywhere. So, this is not a problem. But there are regulatory issues, and there is reality: the television picture of the match must correspond to the status of such a match.
To hold the semifinals in Chernivtsi, they actually need to make a major renovation of the stadium there.
First of all — lighting. There is a certain norm: 1400 lux. For this, a new lighting system needs to be built so that games can be played not only during the day but also in the evening. This is one of the conditions that is extremely difficult to fulfill in such a short time.
It is also necessary to modify the towers for the television broadcasts so that the cameras are at the correct height and to provide for VAR connection. There must be 30 places for the press, of which 15 should be equipped with tables and sockets. In addition, cosmetic repairs of the stadium are necessary: fixing some seats, installing electronic turnstiles, etc. To implement all this is extremely difficult.
Therefore, the match will be moved to Lviv — to the Ukraine stadium. That’s the story. And here’s a nuance: the team dressing rooms need to be equipped with a washing area for football shoes. There are actually many such points. I counted about seven or eight, and in total, there were about twenty — to ensure that the stadium really meets the requirements of the third category,” Zverov is quoted by the Telegram channel FootballHub.
