The Ukrainian Premier League summarized the results of the 23rd round of the Ukrainian Championship, the matches of which took place last weekend.
Team of the 23rd round of the UPLThe determination of the best traditionally took place through a survey of representatives of Ukrainian sports publications. Each respondent named a trio of candidates for the coach of the round title, a five-member list for the player of the round title, and also formed their version of the symbolic team of the round.
The best player of the round was Georgiy Sudakov (Shakhtar), who narrowly surpassed Mykola Shaparenko (Dynamo) with a score of 75:72. A high density exists at the lower part of the top-5 ranking: Kevin (Shakhtar) - 60 points, Andriy Yarmolenko (Dynamo) - 58 points, Vinicius Tobias (Shakhtar) - 55 points. Very close to the top-5 were Petar Michin (Zorya) - 50 points and Bezerra (Oleksandriya) - 42 points.
The best coach of the 23rd round was recognized by a group of 36 experts as the new coach of Chornomorets, Oleksandr Kuchер, who led the Odesa team to victory over LNZ (1:0) on his second attempt after four consecutive losses for the club. In terms of points earned in the voting, he narrowly surpassed Ruslan Rotan (Oleksandriya) with a score of 73:66, while Vitaliy Ponomariov (Rukh) rounded out the top-3.
