Vernidub became the fifth coach to reach 300 matches in the Ukrainian championships

The match of the 23rd round of the Ukrainian championship between “Alexandria” and the Kryvyi Rih “Kryvbass” (1:0) was the 300th for the head coach of the visiting team, Yurii Vernidub, in the elite Ukrainian division in history.

In addition to this 59-year-old specialist, only four others managed to cross the 300-match mark — Myron Markevych (623 matches), Mykola Pavlov (546), Mircea Lucescu (432), and Vitalii Kvartsyany (341).

It should be noted that out of his 300 matches in the Ukrainian championship, Vernidub coached 219 with Luhansk “Zoria” and 81 with “Kryvbass.”
