The head coach of Donetsk’s Shakhtar Marino Pushich at the press conference after yesterday’s match of his team against the Cherkasy LNZ (4:1) in the 24th round of the Ukrainian championship, completely disregarding moral and ethical norms and respect for other participants in the event, openly mocked the journalist for his question and also told him how he should behave in this life.
Marino Pushich. Photo — Yu. Yuryov— Congratulations on the victory. Tell me, are you satisfied with the second half?
— Yes, I am very satisfied with the second half. You are very negative, it’s very funny to see this. I don’t know why you are in such a mood, maybe you just want to. But that’s not right. Do you know why? Because one team won this away match with a score of 4:1, and we had many opportunities to score more and make it 5… 6… maybe 7:1.
It is quite normal for a team to decide the fate of the match already in the first half, this slows down the pace of the game in the second half and gives the opponent a bit more freedom because we made some changes. But it is incorrect to ask a team that won 4:1 and showed such good football today.
But thank you for your congratulations. So there is no need to show negativity towards Shakhtar. Shakhtar deserves positivity. And you shouldn’t be negative either when asking why the first half went like that. You should know that the game lasts 90 minutes. Okay? We played damn well.
