Yesterday's match of the 32nd round of the Italian Championship between Udinese and Milan (0:4) was overshadowed by the terrifying injury of the guest team goalkeeper Mike Maignan.
A moment before the collisionAt the beginning of the second half, the 29-year-old goalkeeper left the confines of his penalty area in an attempt to be the first to reach the ball, but as a result, he collided headfirst with the head of his own team defender Alejandro Jimenez at full speed.
This collision resulted in Maignan losing consciousness. After receiving first aid, he left the field on a stretcher.

According to sports doctor Dmitry Babeleuk, known for making diagnoses based solely on television images, Maignan definitely suffered a concussion, but additional problems cannot be ruled out.

"Head to head, loss of consciousness, prayers on the sidelines. All attributes of a shocking collision were present in this episode.
It is definitely a concussion. Everything else will be diagnosed already in the hospital," Babeleuk wrote in his Telegram channel.
