As previously reported, former midfielder of Kyiv’s Dynamo Oleksandr Aliyev was detained today by the police in Kyiv.

Later, the Patrol Police of Kyiv published an official statement regarding this matter:
“Clarification regarding the incident that occurred in the Solomyansky district
While patrolling on Chokolivskiy Boulevard, the inspectors stopped a Mercedes driver for violating traffic rules.
While communicating with the patrollers, the driver and the passenger expressed themselves in an obscene manner and behaved aggressively. They did not respond to the lawful demand of the police to cease their unlawful actions. Moreover, the driver exhibited clear signs of intoxication. He categorically refused to undergo a sobriety test as prescribed by law and, along with the passenger, continued to violate public order.
We informed them that they would be detained and taken to the police station for the preparation of the appropriate administrative materials. To obstruct the police’s actions, the passenger climbed onto the service vehicle.
We detained both citizens and took them to the police station.”
