Year after year, «Chornomorets» forces football statisticians to record achievements, thus rewriting history. Another one of them was set by the Odesa club in the 2024/25 season.
This is related to the number of players that «Chornomorets» has attracted to its ranks for participation in the current championship of Ukraine. Their total number has already reached quite an impressive figure — 35.
Last summer, during the off-season, and at the beginning of September, the team was joined by 24 footballers — goalkeepers Artur Rudko, Nigerian Kingsley Aniahboso, Maksym Nabiit, defenders — Bohdan Butko, Borys Lotoskyi, Roman Savchenko, Danylo Udod, Brazilian Kaiо Gomes, Georgian Luka Latsabidze, Yevhen Skyba, Gambian Moses Jarju, midfielders — Bohdan Biloshevskyi, Artem Gabelok, Vladyslav Kalyn, Yaroslav Kysil, Brazilian Joao Neto, Ivan Petriak, Mykhailo Khromei, Yevhen Ianovych, Kyrylo Siheiev, forwards — Denys Yanakov, Oleksii Khoblenko, Kyrylo Popov, and Illia Shevtsov. Interestingly, three of the aforementioned players — Biloshevskyi, Yanakov, and Khoblenko previously tried their hand at «Chornomorets» in different seasons.
During the winter period and in the first month of spring, the Odesa club added another 11 men to the roster: defenders — Magomed Kratov, Brazilian Ryan De Souza, midfielders — Ihor Kohut, Azerbaijani Emil Mustafayev, Bohdan Penchyshyn, Georgian Giorgi Robakidze, Tajik Khusrav Toirov, Panamanian Anel Rais, forwards — Denys Bezborodko and Georgian Luka Chikviladze. The last, the 35th in this list, became the most decorated newcomer — defender Yaroslav Rakitskyi.
