Ukrainian Championship season-2024/25 has entered its final stretch. There are six rounds left in the championship, but even now we can say what the remaining matches will not influence.
Photo — Yury YurievThe Kyiv “Dynamo”, having beaten Kryvbas in the 24th round, has already guaranteed itself a final position no lower than third in the standings, along with a spot in next season’s European cups.
Let’s remind that four teams will represent Ukraine on the international club stage in the 2025/26 season: the top three from the championship and the Cup of Ukraine winner. At this moment, “Polesie”, which is in fourth place, lags behind the leading “Dynamo” by 19 points, which means there is no theoretical possibility that the capital team will end up lower than third place (“Polesie” can collect no more than 18 points in the remaining matches).

But the battle for medals in the current championship, as can be seen from the current state of the standings, is still in full swing. For “Dynamo” to ultimately remain in sole first place (without tying points with any other team), which it currently occupies, it needs to collect 13 points in the remaining six matches (against “Obolon” and “Koloss” at home, and against “Shakhtar”, “Inhulets”, “Polesie”, “Chornomorets” away). In this case, neither “Alexandria” nor “Shakhtar” will have the opportunity to catch up with the Kyiv team.
But even 12 points would be enough for “Dynamo” to win the championship. In this case, “Alexandria” would have theoretical chances to catch up with the Kyiv team on points, but in this situation, “Dynamo” would take precedence, as it proved stronger than “Alexandria” in their direct encounters (0:0, 3:0), and according to the tournament regulations, head-to-head results are considered first in case of ties.
If “Dynamo” manages to collect 12 points over the remaining stretch of the championship, the team will ultimately have 72 points, while “Alexandria” currently has a theoretical maximum of exactly 72 points, and “Shakhtar” has 71.
At the same time, there are only two guaranteed scenarios for collecting 12 points in 6 matches: either
4 wins or 3 wins and 3 draws.
