The president of Kyiv’s “Dynamo” Igor Surkis shared his impressions from yesterday’s match of the team against “Obolon” (3:0) in the 25th round of the Ukrainian championship.

— The match was very difficult, as “Obolon” has the goal of remaining in the Premier League just like we aim to win the championship. The opponent has a very competent coach who has prepared the team very well for this game. I think our guys didn’t expect such a game from the first minutes: one-on-one battles, good transitions from defense to attack. In short, it was a very intense game.
Yarmolenko did his job, scoring the first goal, after which it became much easier. Usually, it always gets easier against such teams after they concede. I am satisfied that we earned three points and are moving towards our goal.
— Andriy Yarmolenko has scored in the final minutes of the first half for the third consecutive match...
— This is the mastery and stability of our key player. What such masters as Yarmolenko, Buyalsky can do on the football field should be learned by many footballers, including cool-headedness. They are an example of how to do everything to achieve results for the team.
— Dynamo managed to keep their goal “dry”, but Obolon had many good chances to score...
— I love such matches when the opposing team plays not only defensively but also offensively. Fans come to the stadium to see a game, not to see one team “park the bus” with eleven players in their penalty area. Obolon played the kind of football that their coach promotes. I’ll repeat, I really liked the football itself.
In general, I can say that when the war is over, football will develop by leaps and bounds. We have many talented young players, moreover, legionnaires will come. We will invite quality legionnaires. They will no longer be afraid to play in our country, stadiums will be filled, and fans will drive their teams forward. It will be completely different football, like it was before the war.
— Next week Dynamo has two important matches - against Bukovina in the semi-finals of the Ukrainian Cup and against Shakhtar in the championship. What do you expect from them?
— We will set the goal to win every match. But all teams want to win. We will show the game that we can demonstrate at this moment in a particular match.
— Bukovina is a first league team, do you think its presence in the semi-finals can be considered a sensation?
— We need to prepare very seriously for Bukovina, as they have nothing to lose - they have jumped above their heads. It will be a very hard game, but I hope we still make it to the final.
