The former coach of Poltava’s “Vorskla” Viktor Skrypnyk commented on the latest words of the head coach of this team Yurii Maksymov, in which he hinted at his resignation.

Because I am not currently inside, nor in the structure of the club, and I wouldn’t want to speak about something vaguely… The only thing that is definitely clear is that it is hard for Maksymov now. I know what it’s like, because I also had such unsuccessful streaks in my career.
As for Maksymov, he is a qualified coach and his team is decent now. There are guys who can lead the others. And those words of his—perhaps, those are emotions. Nobody wants to lose four matches in a row. But the championship is not over yet, and it’s premature to make any global conclusions. Whether to work with ‘Vorskla’ in the future is only for Maksymov to decide. I will not advise him anything.
Problems with financing? Tell me which Ukrainian club doesn’t have problems right now? I don’t think that the ‘Vorskla’ players go onto the pitch with the thought: ‘They didn’t give me something somewhere’. I know most of the players of this team very well. They go out for every game not to just go through the motions, but to fight; I see it from the matches I have watched. Things aren’t working out for them as they would like now, but there is still time to figure out the problem and fix it.
In life and in football, it always happens that there is a streak of failures, but then it changes to a successful one. After the rain, the sun always shines. It’s a pity, but right now it’s pouring in Poltava. But there will be sunshine, I am sure of it!
