— I wouldn’t say that we are very happy with the result, but for the second half, I think we owe a lot of respect to our team. We pulled ourselves together and showed that we played with great desire.
The first conceded goal was a childish mistake on our part, the opponent scored quickly and we struggled. But a club like "Dynamo" shouldn’t fall apart after conceding the first goal. I am ashamed for myself and the team for the first half. However, it’s good that there was such a reaction during the break and the team came out completely different for the second half.
— What exactly happened during the break in the locker room?
— I’ll say this: I have never seen Shovkovskyi so angry and aggressive. There was a conversation in high tones. This is the first time for this, and it shook us up. Yarmolenko was also emotional. This played in our favor — we started to play with more desire to win than "Shakhtar". We had more recoveries, more motivation and strength. "Shakhtar" was already trying to "dry" the game by the score. We believed we could not only come back but also score a third goal.
— Is this the most emotional goal of your career?
— I wouldn’t say it was the most beautiful goal, but in terms of emotions — yes. Before the game, I thought that I had never scored against a direct competitor — "Shakhtar". So I really wanted to score, no matter how, but to score. God rewarded me. I am very satisfied.
— When you hit the post earlier — what did you feel?
— I was disappointed because we scored the first goal, started creating chances, and I understood that there would be more opportunities.
— Can we already congratulate "Dynamo" on the championship?
— No.
