The Ukrainian Premier League summed up the results of the 26th round of the Ukrainian championship, the matches of which took place last weekend.

The selection of the best was traditionally done by surveying representatives of Ukrainian sports publications. Each of the respondents named a trio of candidates for the title of coach of the round, a five-man list of candidates for the title of player of the round, and also formed their version of the symbolic team of the round.
The best player of the 26th round became midfielder Oleksandr Yatsyk (“Zorya”), who had an assist and a goal in the match in which his team defeated “Lviv” (2:1). He surpassed the author of the decisive goal in the match “Shakhtar” – “Dynamo” Vladyslav Kabayev and the player of the “miners” Eghinaldu (who earned a penalty that Kevin converted and also scored a goal himself) by a small margin of points. Top-5 of the ranking of the 26th round also included Serhiy Myakushko (author of two assists in the match “Vorskla” against “Veres”) and Vladyslav Vanat (scored the first goal against “Shakhtar”).
The best coach of the 26th round was recognized by a group of 38 experts as Yurii Maksymov, who with “Vorskla” achieved victory against “Veres” (3:0) in a crucial match for Poltava. He surpassed Oleksandr Shovkovskyi, whose “Dynamo” managed to recover after losing the first half against “Shakhtar” (2:2 after 0:2), and the 3rd place – which is a unique situation – was shared by two coaches: Vitaliy Ponomariov (“Rukh”) and Serhiy Shyshchenko (“Obolon”). Recall that “Rukh” defeated “Chornomorets” in Odesa (2:1), while “Obolon” played a draw with “Karpaty” (2:2).
The team of the 26th round looked as follows: Isenko (“Vorskla”), Krupskyi (“Vorskla”), Romanchuk (“Kryvbas”), Kholod (“Rukh”), Dubinchak (“Dynamo”), Kane (“Vorskla”), Kabayev (“Dynamo”), Riabov (“Rukh”), Sarapiy (“Polissya”), Yatsyk (“Zorya”), Eghinaldu (“Shakhtar”).
