Head coach of Internacional Roger Machado, commenting on the victory over Maracanã (1:0) in the 3rd round of the Brazilian Cup, admitted that the attacking players of his team are going through a rough patch in terms of scoring, mentioning among others the winger Vitinho, on loan from Kiev’s Dynamo.

“Today’s game could have ended with a score of 4:0, even considering the disallowed goals. But I’m concerned that we are not effectively utilizing the moments we have. And this is not just about today’s match.
Last season, Wesley scored 13 goals, but this year he hasn’t scored yet. Vitinho scored 5 goals in the Gauchão (state championship of Rio Grande do Sul, — ed. note), and that’s it, he hasn’t been able to score again. Enner also hasn’t scored for a long time, although he had great opportunities for that. I’m worried about the poor individual form of the attacking players, that’s really the case,” — said Machado after the match with Maracanã.
Recall that Internacional rented Vitinho in January until the nearest summer. For his current team, the midfielder has played 21 matches, in which he scored 5 goals and provided 1 assist. The last time Vitinho scored a goal was in the early days of March.
