— Oleksandr Volodymyrovych, congratulations on the victory. Was it difficult to motivate the team for this match after such an intense “Classico”?

— Thank you. We will move towards our goals, towards our aim, and given this, I motivated the players to understand that teams fighting for survival have additional motivation to play confidently against “Dynamo”. That is why the main thing was not to give in to desire, to motivation. The foundation: the mood for the game and a responsible attitude towards one’s work.

— Did you expect that with time “Inhulets” would “fade” and that you would manage to turn the course of the match?

— When we go onto the field, we always do everything to “rock” the opponent so that they lose strength. Footballers will always play as they train, and when fatigue and adrenaline kick in, everything is done automatically. Hence there is less attention, and it showed. Therefore, from the first minutes we tried to play quickly and believed we would find our moments for scoring.

— Towards the end of the match, there were moments for “Inhulets”, and you were even a bit nervous...

— First of all, I want the players on the football field to demonstrate quality. Of course, the score is very important. There are principles and our agreements, and we need to fulfill them. That is why I reacted this way.

— Mykhavko didn’t come with the team to Oleksandriia. What’s going on with him?

— In the match against “Shakhtar”, Taras was tackled by Eghinaldo, and the referee didn’t even show a caution, and Mykhavko received a painful injury. This affected him, and he hasn’t trained with us during this time. We decided to take care of him so he can recover. We also let Yarmolenko rest. We have four very important matches ahead.
