After today’s victory of Kyiv’s “Dynamo” over “Ingulets” (4:0) in the 27th round of the Ukrainian championship, the intrigue in the fight for gold medals has significantly decreased.

Thus, further competition for the title will unfold between “Dynamo” and “Alexandria”, who are currently separated by 7 points in the standings, but the “city dwellers” have yet to play their match of the 27th round (in Zhytomyr, against the local “Polesie”). Nevertheless, in the next round, the capital team can secure the championship — in an away match against the same “Polesie”. There are exactly three scenarios for this.
Option 1. “Alexandria” in the 27th and 28th rounds total no more than 1 point. In this case, “Dynamo” will become the champion ahead of schedule regardless of the result of the match with “Polesie” (in case of a tie in points with “Alexandria”, the Kyiv team will rank higher based on head-to-head results — 0:0, 3:0).
Option 2. “Alexandria” in the 27th and 28th rounds totals 2 points. In this case, “Dynamo” will need to avoid losing to “Polesie” to secure the title.
Option 3. “Alexandria” does not win at least once in the 27th or 28th round. In this case, “Dynamo” will secure the gold medals with a victory over “Polesie”.
