“Veres” published an official statement after the match of the 27th round of the Ukrainian championship against “Obolon” (0:2), calling for respect towards all present at the match. Recall that in this meeting, the fans of “Veres” booed and shouted offensive words at the main referee Dmytro Kubryak, who sent off two players from the home team.
“Veres” urges the public, fans, and the media community to treat all people involved in organizing football matches and present on the football field or in the stands during the game with respect.
Even in cases of clear referee errors or provocation from the opponent, we do not tolerate personal insults or any other manifestations of verbal violence. “Veres” also regularly holds preventive meetings with representatives of fan movements to prevent and address such issues. The announcer at the stadium during home matches regularly emphasizes the unacceptability of verbal insults towards all participants of the game.
At the same time, we urge the Ukrainian media community to avoid manipulation on the topic of war. After all, several employees of the Rivne club, led by one of the vice-presidents, are currently performing their civic duty in defending the state in the war against the enemy at the front. And among the fans at “Avangard” in every game, there are veterans of the Russo-Ukrainian war and servicemen undergoing rehabilitation after injuries,” the message states in the official Telegram channel of “Veres.”
