The president of the Turkish Eyupspor, Murat Ozkaya, confirmed the existence of an official offer from Donetsk’s Shakhtar for the club’s head coach Arda Turan, informs AS.
Arda TuranEarlier, the same publication reported on intensive contacts last week between Turan and representatives of Shakhtar. According to Turkish journalist Yagiz Sanbucoglu, the sporting director of the Donetsk club, Dario Srna, also held a meeting with this 38-year-old specialist in Istanbul.
At the same time, Turan’s main goal is to lead Atlético Madrid. This was reported by a close friend of the coach, former Turkish national team striker Necati Atesh.
It is worth noting that Turan only began his coaching career in 2023, taking the helm of Eyupspor, but from his very first attempt, he led this team to the Turkish Super League. With four matches remaining in the current Turkish championship, Eyupspor is in sixth place and still has chances to qualify for the European cups next season.
