The match started with attacks from the hosts, who entered the field very motivated, considering the recent unsuccessful results of the Zhytomyr team. And, as it turned out, playing as the first number, “Polesie” completely succeeded: Ashur’s squad confidently controlled the course of the match, creating several good moments in the first half of the meeting.
“Wolves” did not convert their first chance in the 15th minute when an attack involving former Dynamo player Andriyevsky ended with Sarapiy, but his shot was blocked by the defenders of the “white and blue”. Sensing that the game was not going well for the guests, “Polesie” players continued to press their opponents high and create new chances.
Already in the middle of the first half, Neshcheret had to save his team several times after shots from Hutsulyak and Batista. It is hard to explain why Shovkovsky’s players appeared so unfocused for the match, as they clearly struggled in the first half: this applies to both defensive actions and attacking play. Only a few minutes before the end of the first half did the Dinamo players have a half-chance: Yarmolenko received the ball on the penalty area line, but shot significantly over the goal...

The second half also began with attacks from “Polesie,” and once again Neshcheret had to save “Dynamo”: after a powerful shot from Brystrych, the “white and blue” goalkeeper managed to stretch for the ball, which was flying into the lower corner of the goal.
The first serious chance at Volynets’ goal was created by the Kyiv team only in the 59th minute: Dubinchak successfully crossed into the area of the goalkeeper — right to Vanat, but our forward failed to react in time for a shot.
Let’s remind that “Dynamo” will play its next match on Wednesday, May 14, again in Zhytomyr. It will be the final of the Ukrainian Cup, where Shovkovsky’s team will face “Shakhtar.” The start of the match is at 18:30.
