The head coach of Tottenham Angelos Postecoglou emotionally reacted to a question from a journalist who compared this year's performances of the "Spurs" with those of Manchester United. This happened after the semi-final return match of the Europa League against Norwegian "Bodø/Glimt" (2:0).
Angelos Postecoglou— I don't care what they say in Manchester about the team and about this season. What do I care about that? Ask the Manchester United coach why he says that winning the Europa League won't save this season for his team. I have always said that the Europa League is important for us. You know better than I do, you have been following this club longer. What do you think the trophy meant for this club? This is a rhetorical question. Now people are just afraid that it could actually happen. They are trying to belittle this, to downplay it, saying that they are having a weak season, and they start comparing us to Manchester United," said Angelos Postecoglou.
It should be added that the Europa League final between Manchester United and Tottenham will take place on May 21.
