London’s West Ham has not yet made a decision regarding the future of their striker Michail Antonio.
Michail Antonio“When we have something to announce, we will announce it. In the case of Michail, it is a unique situation in terms of how he is recovering from his injury. He is doing wonderfully, he is overcoming a lot, and we will support him. At this moment, that is the most important thing,” quotes the head coach to the BBC.
Additionally, Antonio is the top scorer for West Ham in Premier League history, having scored 68 goals in 268 matches.
Antonio has not played since he was involved in a car accident in December, breaking his leg and spending over three weeks in the hospital. The 34-year-old Jamaica international has now started light training, but the question of extending his contract, which expires at the end of the season, remains open.
