The UAF Referees Committee has appointed the officiating team for the final match of the Ukrainian Cup for the 2024/25 season, in which on the upcoming Wednesday in Zhytomyr, Donetsk’s Shakhtar will face Kyiv’s Dynamo.

Mykola Balakyn

The on-field referee is Mykola Balakyn from Kyiv region. In the current season of the UPL, he has already officiated matches involving Dynamo three times, including once against Shakhtar:

— Ukrainian Championship, 9th round, Dynamo—Kryvbas (2:1);

— Ukrainian Championship, 11th round, Dynamo—Shakhtar (1:1);

— Ukrainian Championship, 18th round, Dynamo—Karpaty (2:0).

The line judges for the Dynamo—Shakhtar match will be Oleksandr Berkut (Sumy) and Dmytro Zaporozhenko (Zaporizhzhia). The fourth official will be Dmytro Panchyshyn (Kharkiv).

Also, the video assistant referee (VAR) system will be in operation at the upcoming meeting, under the supervision of Denys Shurman from Kyiv region.
