The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky talked about his online conversation with FIFA President Gianni Infantino and UAF President Andriy Shevchenko.

“I spoke with FIFA President Gianni Infantino and football legend Andriy Shevchenko.

Sport always has a great influence on societies and states around the world. And we greatly appreciate such a strong voice in support of Ukraine and achieving a fair and lasting peace.

We need to work together for peace and an immediate ceasefire and a worthy and just end to the war. Diplomacy matters.

Moscow must start taking real steps towards ending the war, not their imitation.

Thank you for your support of our people, Ukrainian athletes, children. Thank you that we can count on FIFA,” Zelensky wrote on his Telegram channel.
