According to Marca, Alvaro Carreras from Benfica is very close to moving to Santiago Bernabeu.

Carreras made a great impression throughout the season and also showed a high level in matches against Barcelona and Atletico in the Champions League.
Thus, Real is set to make the first contact to sign Carreras. However, the deal will not be easy, as they will have to contend with Manchester United.
