By defeating Odesa’s “Chornomorets” in the match of the 29th round of the Ukrainian championship among youth teams, the team “Dynamo U-19” became the champions of Ukraine in the U-19 championship for the season 2024/2025.
Photo: fcdynamo.comThe “white-blues”, having gained 80 points, became unreachable for the closest pursuer, Donetsk’s “Shakhtar”, whom they outpace by four points with one round to go before the season finale.
Currently, before the last round, “Dynamo” has 26 wins, 2 draws, and 1 loss, scoring the most (104) and conceding the fewest (11) goals during the season. Moreover, the goal difference (+93) is a record for all seasons of the U19 championship — previously, this record was held by Lviv’s “Rukh”, which in the 2022/2023 season had a record of 91:17 (+74). Dynamo players have also become the first team in history to score over 100 goals in a season.
For the second consecutive season, Dynamo has become the best team in the Ukrainian youth championship. Overall, our team now has seven championship titles in the U19 championship — the “white-blues” won the debut championship in the 2012/2013 season, then became the best youth team for four consecutive seasons from 2016 to 2019, and last wore the gold medals in 2024.
In terms of performance success in the youth championship, our team confidently leads — “Shakhtar” has two titles of champions of Ukraine, while “Metalist” and “Rukh” have one each.
It is worth noting that for the coach Ihor Kostiuk, who took charge of the Dynamo youth team in 2017, this is already his fourth championship title.
Also, many players in the current “white-blues” squad can boast a second U-19 championship title in their careers — these include goalkeeper Vyacheslav Surkis, defenders Denys Dykyi, Maksym Korobov, Vladyslav Zakharchenko, Yegor Syzyonyk, Oleksiy Rybak, Fedir Kolomiyets, midfielders Danylo Ishchenko, Roman Shalenko, Kyrylo Osypenko, Dmytro Kremchanyn, Davyd Bilyi, Kyrylo Pashko, Volodymyr Ozymay, Bohdan Redushko, and forwards Matviy Ponomarenko, Vladyslav Herich, Vitalii Lobko.
