Everton announced the departure of experienced defender Ashley Young, as reported by the official website of the Toffees.
Ashley YoungYoung has been playing for Everton since July 2023. Thanks to his experience, leadership qualities, and versatility, Ashley has proven to be a very useful player. Overall, the Englishman, who will turn 40 in July, has played 68 matches for Everton, scoring two goals.
The announcement of Young’s departure came ahead of the final home match of the season against Southampton on Saturday. Along with Young, goalkeepers Asmir Begovic and Joao Virginia are also leaving Everton.
