The top scorer of the Ukrainian Youth Championship, Dynamo player Dmytro Kremchanyn, who scored a goal against Odesa’s «Chornomorets», shared his impressions from the away match, where the Kyiv team won with a big score of 6:1 and secured the championship ahead of time:
Photo: fcdynamo.com— Winning the championship once is pleasant, as we didn’t know what those emotions felt like. But this season it was much harder to defend the title. Before the winter break, we were five points behind our competitors, but the whole team believed that we could repeat this achievement.
— «Dynamo» has become champions among U-19 teams for the seventh time, which shows that the academy and youth football are operating at the highest level in the club?
— Yes. «Dynamo» and «Shakhtar» are always competing against each other for the championship. I am very happy that we became champions twice in a row. In this respect, it is «Dynamo» that dominates, as we have a good academy, talented guys who take the coaches’ instructions and requirements well. Discipline and motivation also help us to win.
— Tell us what happened in the locker room, what did you talk about?
— All the boys congratulated each other on the championship, among us there were many new players born in 2008. Us, the players born in 2005, leave the team with the status of champions, which is very nice. We wished that in the future «Dynamo» U19 continues to win titles and succeed.
— With one tour left until the end of the youth championship you are the top scorer with 23 goals, moreover, the team has already scored 104 goals, so is this the season when records are being broken?
— Yes, I am very happy that I score a lot, and the team, we not only win, but also break records. It’s nice to leave such a mark in history for many years.
— «Dynamo» U19 has already scored 80 points, this season the team has achieved many victories with large scores. Is such effectiveness a defining feature of your team?
— We really score a lot, and that’s very good, because, I remember, last season there were many matches when we attacked from the first to the last minutes but couldn’t score. Almost every game ended with a difference of just one or two goals, and often we capitalized on our moments only after the break. And now it’s good that we manage to score at the beginning of the matches, and we don’t stop afterwards. Every player gives their all at every moment, we win with scores of 6:0 or 7:0, even 10:0 and still create many opportunities that we don’t use.
— When Ishchenko scored, you executed a corner, but it seemed you weren’t very happy about the goal, what’s behind that?
— The score allowed us to react more calmly, and we were confident in ourselves. I served, as usual, it’s good that Ishchenko was there and scored. At that time, the score was already big, so the emotions were more restrained. Of course, during the break and after the match, we all congratulated Danila in the locker room.
