Shovkovsky became the third representative of "Dynamo" to become a champion of Ukraine both as a player and as a coach

The coach of Kyiv’s “Dynamo” Alexander Shovkovsky, leading his team to the title of champion of Ukraine this season, became only the third representative of the “white-blues” to become a champion of Ukraine both as a player (14-time champion) and as a coach.

Previously, this was only achieved by Anatoliy Demyanenko (champion of Ukraine 1992/93 season) and Sergei Rebrov (9 championships as a player, 2 as a coach).

If we touch upon the history of Kyiv “Dynamo” in the USSR championships, then such an achievement was in the career of four other representatives of this club:

Valery Lobanovsky — 1 championship of the USSR as a player, 8 championships of the USSR as a coach, 5 championships of Ukraine as a coach;

Mikhail Fomenko — 3 championships of the USSR as a player, 1 championship of Ukraine as a coach;

Yozhef Sabo — 4 championships of the USSR as a player, 2 championships of Ukraine as a coach;

Aleksey Mikhaylichenko — 3 championships of the USSR as a player, 2 championships of Ukraine as a coach.
