The head coach of Lviv’s "Rukh," Vitaliy Ponomaryov, assured that his team will be motivated for the match of the final, 30th round of the Ukrainian championship against Donetsk’s "Shakhtar." Ahead of this meeting, the opponents no longer have tournament tasks.

“We are dissatisfied with the result of the game against "Left Bank" (0:1, previous round of UPL, — ed. note). The team completely failed to execute the game plan in the first half — what we had been working on all of last week. In the second half, "Rukh" had the advantage, but could not take advantage of it — we failed to score a goal.
We have an interesting match ahead with "Shakhtar" — one of the giants of Ukrainian football. For this match, there is no need to additionally motivate the team — the guys will be motivated to show themselves at the level of such an opponent and play quality football. The coaching staff just emphasizes that we need to play selflessly in every match, regardless of whether the tasks are completed or not. "Rukh" is set to give a fight to the Donetsk team.
We will summarize the season after the last match. For now, I can only say that this campaign has been somewhat ambiguous. And this is not only due to the restructuring of the team in the middle of the season, but also because "Rukh" demonstrated varying performances. There were quality matches, but there were also a number of unsuccessful games, especially at the start of this spring when we lost several key players and we were building a new roster — time was needed for restructuring. For the guys who had less playing time to gain the necessary experience. Overall, we had a not-so-great second round, but towards the end of the championship, we began to regularly earn points. So I reiterate, the feelings are mixed, but this season was not unsuccessful for "Rukh",’ said Ponomaryov.
