The Executive Committee of UAF decided to temporarily suspend the membership of the public association “Kherson Regional Football Association” in the Ukrainian Football Association due to numerous violations of statutory norms, dysfunction of the organization, and expiration of the management’s tenure.

The committee also recommended that the KFA bring its activities in line with the requirements of the statutes and regulatory documents of UAF and KFA within three months, particularly concerning the preparation and holding of an extraordinary conference.
An important aspect in making this decision was the lack of information regarding the use of non-repayable financial assistance from UAF by the KFA.
In case all violations are eliminated, reporting on the use of funds is provided, and legal elections of the management are held, membership and funding will be resumed.
“Unfortunately, there has not been a full-fledged working contact with the leaders of KFA for the last year and a half. There were certain barriers in communication with the executive director of the association, and the chairman did not reach out at all. The Assembly of Regions of UAF initiated the creation of a working group that investigated the situation, and after receiving the information, recommended the executive committee to take actions regarding the suspension of KFA membership. Thus, this decision is primarily a result of regional associations that saw violations in the activities of their colleagues. Kherson region is partially occupied by the enemy, and all issues related to this region must be approached with maximum responsibility.
During the Executive Committee meeting, the first deputy chairman of KFA, Serhiy Khlan, was present, and we heard his desire to rectify the situation. However, he currently lacks an understanding of financial activities and strategies to exit the crisis. Therefore, we temporarily suspended their membership. In fact, this means that as long as there is no transparent reporting, we will not be able to provide non-repayable financial assistance, as we do to other regional associations. We believe in the prompt rectification of all violations and will support the restoration of full-fledged activities of the Kherson Regional Football Association,” commented UAF first vice president Artem Stoyanov on the situation after the executive committee meeting.
