Former head coach of Polissia Imad Ashur commented on the banner of Polissia fans “The suffering is over” after his dismissal.
Photo: Andrew Tohodos— I don’t know if there are many cases when a coach opens up to the fans, when he is ready to understand and listen to them, to treat them as an important part of the club. Fans are always demanding – and that’s normal, it should keep you on your toes. They will always be dissatisfied primarily with the results, regardless of the moment the club is in. In principle, this usually should not concern them; everyone has their own role.
I believe we had a respectful relationship. Why did they continue to mention me after such an event? I was no longer with the club, but perhaps my presence had not yet been let go by them. I don’t know why.
I was also sent this. My reaction was the same – to smile because now it seems somewhat not super relevant. Those who decided to do this, those who decided that this was something worthy – the question should be to them. I don’t think there is anything worth commenting on after such an event. I believe it’s not worth diving into this topic. I thanked everyone, especially the fans. The time spent together, regardless of its end, is valuable – and it should be respected. If someone has a different opinion, they are entitled to it, — said Ashur.
