Midfielder of Kyiv "Dynamo" Volodymyr Brajko after yesterday's match of the final, 30th round of the Ukrainian Championship against Kolos from Kovalyvka (1:1) summarized the season 2024/25 on the YouTube channel "UPL-TV".
Volodymyr Brajko— Watching everyone, you seem to celebrate the championship the most emotionally.
— No, the most emotional is Rubchynskyi. He throws some idea of what we can do — and we do it. (Smiles).
— What does this championship mean to you?
— This is my first championship. And I am very happy to have won my first trophy at the professional level. I helped the team as much as I could. I am very happy that we did all this together, without losses.
Of course, it’s very nice that the fans came, I wanted to win for them today, but it turned out as it did. Now we will celebrate a little, and then we prepare, first of all for the national team, and then already for the European cups. This is already history, we need to forget it.
— How hard was it for you personally to achieve this championship?
— Of course, it was a very difficult season. The failed European cups are probably the biggest misfortune of this season. But we went through the entire Ukrainian championship on one breath, without losses. And that’s encouraging. I want more in the next season, to play better in the European cups.
For me, the first half of the season was good, I was satisfied. Then I got injured, didn’t feel very well for about two to three months, there was some discomfort. After that, I didn’t have much playing time, I was not in very good shape. But I feel good now. It’s good that I played 90 minutes today — it was like preparation for the youth Euro.
— What moment will be in your mind when you recall this championship season?
— I don’t know... A lot can be recalled: the match with Kryvbas when we won while being in the minority, and with Shakhtar when we snatched two draws, and we beat Oleksandriya 3:0 here. Every match was championship-like and very important in its own way. Every point was very important, because you see — two or three points difference between us and Oleksandriya.
— What has Volodymyr Brajko learned this season?
— A lot. Somewhere, I can say I became stronger, I approach criticism differently, I became more confident in myself. And I hope it will be better from now on.
